Fail Me Again
Fail me again
my feeble soul.
I expect no less
so don’t be shy.
I’ll keep trying
and you, I take it,
will keep failing me.
But on the other hand,
I might some day
catch you unawares
or drowsy or busy
failing someone else.
And then I’ll slip
in like Flynn
and take first prize.
