Fertilizer

I need a filter
To help me
Sleep
Say less
Erase
The fears and frustrations
Anxieties and angers
Obvious in my
Gait
Plastered on my
Face.
A filter
Not for a French press, or
Pour-over
Instead
One strong enough for a
Somewhat firehose
Drip
Into a basket, maybe
An unbleached compostable cone
But how thick
To filter
Only
The intrusive
Invasive
The toxic
And when nightly
Replacing that filter
Seeing the layers
Smelling the churn
Touching the textures
Knowing that
Nothing
Good
From this
Fertilizer
Can
Come.
